The Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat is a hot spot for activity both biologically and anthropologically! Nourished by the nutrients brought down by the Indus river that flows through our friendly neighborhood Pakistan. The Gulf of Kutch acts like a trap, filling up with sediment, nutrients etc.
This creates an ideal ground for various ecosystems to flourish. Mangroves, sea grasses and corals can be found here. The area is protected as part of the Marine National Park & Sanctuary.
The diversity of ecosystems attracts both marine and terrestrial life including several migratory bird species.
